DC9 Painters :30
Albany union hiring announcement
Agency: Kivvit
District Council 9 of the International Union of Painters and Allied Trades is an organization of painters, decorators, drywall finishers and other skilled tradesmen. When I worked at Fluent Visual in 2017, the agency Kivvit, who was a big client of ours, approached us with needing a :30 spot to inform potential tradesmen that DC9 was hiring in Albany, NY. I was given a folder of broll clips and a document with the desired text on screen. The video needed to feel fun and snappy, so I emphasized the bright yellow from the logo, and found an upbeat music track. I used time remapping effects to add interest to the clips. I created the graphics and edited together the spot pretty quickly, as there was a tight deadline.
